Living diligence

Three moments, one and the same diligence

Identifying a client once is not enough. The law expects ongoing diligence, at three key moments the platform handles for you.

01

Onboarding

Before the first engagement: identification of the client, of its ultimate beneficial owners, and risk assessment.

02

Periodic review

Diligence stays alive. Every file is reviewed at a frequency that depends on its risk level.

03

Alert on change

A CBE change at a client's (directors, capital, legal form) restarts the diligence at the right moment.

Proportionate diligence

Not every client
is the same.

The law requires diligence proportionate to the risk. AML Company grades every client in your portfolio and adapts how deep and how often your checks run.

Facing the ITAA, what counts is not what you did. It is your proof.

Frequently asked questions

Accounting firms
and anti-money laundering.

Are chartered accountants and accounting firms covered by AML law?

Yes. Chartered accountants, tax advisers, accountants (ITAA) and statutory auditors (IRE) are obliged entities (art. 5, §1, 23°, 24°, 25° and 25°/1 of the Act of 18 September 2017) and apply the whole set of diligence duties.

What must a client's diligence file contain?

The identification and verification of the client, the identification of its ultimate beneficial owners, a risk assessment, then ongoing diligence with a periodic review. The documents and decisions must be retained.

How often should a client file be reviewed?

The review depends on the risk level: the higher it is, the more often it comes round. AML Company computes the risk and schedules the reviews on their due date automatically.

How do I prove my diligence in an ITAA inspection?

Every action is timestamped and retained. A client's complete file, with its history of decisions and reviews, exports in one click, ready for an inspection.
